ADA ACCESSIBILITY
John Paul Jones Arena would like to make all events an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. Should anyone require disability-related accommodations to participate in a specific event, please send any requests to
jpj-inf@virginia.edu as early as possible, but no later than the 7 business days prior to the event date, so that we have time to arrange for the necessary accommodations.
John Paul Jones Arena offers ADA compliant seating in the following sections:
Lower Level Sections: 106, 108, 109, 110
Upper Level Sections: 302, 303, 308, 316, 317, 318
The following entrances are equipped with ramps:
Doors 4-7 at the main entrance
Doors 32-37 on the southeast side of the arena
Doors 44-45 inside level 2 of the parking garage
ADA parking is available onsite and is on a first come first serve basis.

ANIMALS
Animals are prohibited in the arena with the exception of service animals assisting guests with special needs.
ATMS
John Paul Jones Arena is a cashless venue and we do not have ATMs.
BANNERS/SIGNS/FLAGS
All signs and banner must be 8.5"x11" or a standard copy paper size or smaller.
Banners and signs may not be displayed during play of games or performances due to sight line restrictions. Signs may not be placed on railings or walls. Poles or sticks that are used to display banners, flags, or signs are not permitted.
Additionally, banners and signs that are offensive, vulgar, or commercial in nature will not be permitted into the Arena. Certain events may not permit banners or signs of any type or at any time.
BAG POLICY
John Paul Jones Arena has a clear bag policy.
Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and cannot exceed 12" x 6" x 12" or clear one-gallon plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bags or similar) are also permitted.
Small clutch bags/wallets no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" (with or without a handle or strap) can be taken into the arena and will be subject to search.
An exception will be made for items necessary for medical reasons after proper inspections at a gate designated for this purpose.
Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
BOX OFFICE
The John Paul Jones Arena Box Office is located by the Main Entrance and is open Monday & Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Please note, we are a cashless venue.
Box office hours on the day of an event vary depending on show times.

CAMERAS
Cameras are permitted for UVA athletic events; however, in no instance may photography interfere with access ways, seat aisles, or other guests' enjoyment of the event.
The camera policy for non-UVA athletic events will vary. Please check the listing for each event for that show's camera policy, which is subject to change without notice.
CATERING
All catering is provided exclusively in-house by Aramark (Virginia Catering Company). Outside food and beverages of any kind may not be brought into the arena.

CREDIT CARDS
All major credit cards are accepted at all permanent concession locations and the Box Office. John Paul Jones Arena is a cashless venue.
DRONES
The possession, operation, or use of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) or drone is prohibited on John Paul Jones Arena property without prior, written permission from John Paul Jones Arena management and the University of Virginia.
Furthermore, persons operating a UAS on John Paul Jones Arena property may be subject to criminal or civil penalties by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Please contact 434-243-2161 for drone approval.
ELEVATORS
Public elevators are located on the concourse adjacent to sections 101, 109, 301, and 309.
ENTRANCES
• ADA/Elevator Entrance - Door Numbers 4-7 – Can be accessed from JPJ West Lot
• West Entrance - Door Numbers 8-27 – Can be accessed from JPJ West Lot
• Southeast Entrance - Door Numbers 32-37 – Can be accessed from Massie Road
• Student Entrance - Door Numbers 38-43 – Can be accessed from Massie Road (only a student exclusive entrance for UVA
Basketball games)
• Garage Entrance – Door Numbers 44-45 – Can be accessed from Level 2 of the JPJ Garage

FIREARMS/WEAPONS
No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted in John Paul Jones Arena including those with a permit or license.
FIRST AID
First Aid stations are located across from sections 309 and 109.
If first aid is needed, please notify the nearest staff member.
GROUP SALES
For information regarding group sales to any non-UVA Athletic event, please contact John Paul Jones Arena Box Office at 434-924-3537. For group sales to UVA Athletic events, contact the UVA Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-542-8821.
GUEST CONDUCT
In order to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, John Paul Jones Arena asks that guests be courteous to those around them and abide by Arena policies. Guests who use offensive or abusive language, behave in an unruly manner, or appear to be intoxicated are subject to removal.
GUEST SERVICES
John Paul Jones Arena is committed to providing proactive immediate response to issues affecting guests. Should a concern arise during an event, please visit the Guest Services Booth (sponsored by RMC Events) at Section 308, on the main concourse, to have your concern addressed or make a nearby staff member aware of the concern.
HEARING ASSISTANCE
Complimentary hearing assistance devices are available at the Guest Services Booth (sponsored by RMC Events) located outside section 308 by the main entrance doors.
Requests for aid and service should be made at least ten (10) business days prior to event. The ADA Facilitator may be unable to fill a request if made less than ten (10) business days in advance of an event.
If you'd like to request an interpreter onsite, please submit your request to our
suggestion box prior to your ticket purchase or at least ten (10) business days in advance of the event.
LOST & FOUND
For any situation regarding lost and found items during an event, please go to the Guest Services Booth (sponsored by RMC Events) located at section 308 on the main concourse. During non-event times, please contact the Arena Security Office at 434-924-3993.
LOST CHILDREN & COMPANIONS
Lost parents and children are taken to the John Paul Jones Arena Guest Services Booth (sponsored by RMC Events) located at section 308 on the main concourse.
PARKING
John Paul Jones Arena offers a variety of parking options including JPJ Garage, West Lot, South Lot, East Lot, and the Emmet/Ivy Garage.
ADA parking is available onsite and will be distributed on a first come first served basis.

• Bags or Backpacks larger than 12” x 12” x 6” – smaller bags must be clear/see through, with the exception of bags smaller than 4.5” x 6.5” (about the size of a hand)

• Umbrellas (allowed for UVA basketball games)

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
John Paul Jones Arena is conveniently located on the University Transit Service Blue Route. Charlottesville Transit Services has pick up and drop off points along Routes 2, 5, and 7 adjacent to the Arena.
RE-ENTRY
Exiting and reentering with the same ticket is not permitted.
RESTROOMS
John Paul Jones Arena has multiple restrooms located throughout the arena. All restrooms are accessible for physically disabled guests. For the closest restroom, please see a guest services representative.
SMOKING/VAPING
John Paul Jones Arena is a smoke/vape free facility. Outdoor smoking/vaping sections are provided at Sections 301 & 318.
Anyone vaping or smoking inside the arena may be subject to removal.
SOLICITATION
The distribution of promotional items, handbills, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted on John Paul Jones Arena property without the express written consent of the University of Virginia.
STROLLERS
Only umbrella type strollers that can be safely stored beneath the guest’s seats will be permitted. All other types of strollers are prohibited and will not be secured or stored.
TAILGATING
Tailgating is not allowed on John Paul Jones Arena property or parking facilities.
TICKETS
The John Paul Jones Arena Box Office is open Monday & Wednesday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Event day times vary per show.
Ticketmaster and AXS are the official ticketing sites for John Paul Jones Arena.

TICKET ISSUES
For ticket-related problems prior to entering the Arena, patrons should proceed to the Box Office for assistance.
For ticket-related problems encountered inside the Arena, patrons should visit the back window of the box office located outside Section 308.
TOURS
Venue Management does not offer tours.
VAPING/SMOKING

WATER BOTTLES
Water bottles and containers of any kind are prohibited inside the arena.
WHEELCHAIRS
John Paul Jones Arena does not have wheelchairs to loan out to patrons. Wheelchairs are only provided for medical emergencies.
WILL CALL
Will Call is located at the John Paul Jones Arena Box Office. A photo ID of the person who placed the order is required to receive the ticket.
