John Paul Jones Arena welcomes you to share in the excitement of our new facility at the University of Virginia. We recognize the needs of guests with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and continue to make every effort to comply with State and Federal accessibility regulations.

Access to John Paul Jones Arena

Parking and Access

Parking for guests with disabilities is located on level three (the unexposed portion) of the parking garage adjacent to the arena. Accessible parking spots are on a first come, first served basis. Parking passes are required to access these spaces.

Accessible drop-off locations are located along the John Paul Jones Arena side of Massie Rd. between Emmet Rd. and Copeley Rd.

Convenient wheelchair access to John Paul Jones Arena is available at the Main Entrance (West Gate).

Public elevators are located on the concourse adjacent to sections 101, 109, 301, and 309.

Availability

Seating for persons with disabilities are available by calling 1-888-575-8497, purchasing online at http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/8997, or in person at the Arena Box Office during normal business hours. When purchasing tickets, please mention that you are in need of accessible seating so that we may assist with special arrangements.

Seating for persons with disabilities is limited, therefore, only one additional ticket is allowed for an attendant within the same section. If other tickets are needed, they will be pulled as close as possible to the disabled section as available.

For your convenience, accessible ticket windows are located at the main box office on the west side of the arena.

Group Sales

Please specify your interest in accessible seating when ordering group tickets. Contact the John Paul Jones Arena Box Office at 434-924-3537 for more information about group ticket orders.

Auxiliary Aids

Assistive Listening Devices

For guests that are hearing impaired the arena provides Assistive Listening Devices at no cost. For assistance in obtaining one please see the Guest Services member closest to your seating section or the the Guest Services Booth (sponsored by RMC Events) on the concourse across from section 308.

Interpreting Services

For guests who are hearing impaired or deaf John Paul Jones Arena can provide a sign language interpreter. Requests for this service must be received at least 21 days prior to the scheduled event and should be directed to the Event Services Manager at 434-243-2213.

Accessible Services

Restrooms

Public restrooms are accessible to our guests with disabilities. The arena is also equipped with private unisex restrooms (companion friendly) that are located on the upper concourse at sections 305 and 311 and on the lower concourse behind sections 107 and 109.

Service Animals

Service animals for the disabled are permitted in John Paul Jones Arena. If accommodations are required for your service animal, please notify us at the time of your ticket purchase.

Emergency Evacuation Procedures

Designated John Paul Jones Arena staff and other personnel have been trained in proper procedures for emergency preparedness. These designated staff members will have the duty of assisting guests with disabilities.
